The Brooklyn Museum is exhibiting Iggy Pop Life Class, the collaboration between Turner prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller and Iggy Pop (Nov 4-Mar 26). Jeremy Deller was chosen as a source of inspiration by Brian Eno for Just Six Degrees this autumn. His "work surprises me at so many levels. It expands the idea of what an artist does, of what Art could be, and what it could be for," said Eno.
The exhibition presents the drawings from a traditional life drawing class whereby the pop icon was both model and subject. The 53 drawings were created on February 21, 2016 during a one-day class led by artist and drawing professor Michael Grimaldi.
